England Family Family Reunion


Descendants of Joseph and Matilda England of Habersham County, Georgia will be holding a reunion in Kosciusko on Friday and Saturday, June 10 and 11, 2005.

A number of these descendants lived in Attala County after leaving Georgia.

 

Runion date: June 10th and 11th
. Location: Attala County Mississippi, Kosciusko

Motels: Two motels as follows;

Super Eight: Rates: $46.95 + tax for room with two persons. 1 King size bed; $54.95 + tax for room with two persons. 2 beds. Continental breakfast. 10% Senior discount is available.

Days Inn: Rates:$54.50 includes tax for Kings and doubles. Group Rate maybe obtained when calling for reservations if you mention England Family Reunion. Also has a pool and continental breakfast.

  • Day One: Friday June 10
    8:30 AM - Assemble at Attala County Library in Kosciusko. Donuts & Coffee
    Meet folks. Welcome by Charles Trenton England 3rd . Review of activities by Hugh Trenton England (your host).


  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 Exchange family information, pictures etc. The library is equipped with good copy equipment


  • 12:00 noon Door Prize, then break for lunch at local Diner. ( England family owner - Larry Pickle and Mike England) Great food for lunch


  • 1:00 PM till - Re-assemble at art library for individual use of Genealogy Room material. The material here is considered to be one of the best resources for research


  • 6:30 PM - Group meeting at Louisiana’s Restaurant, 408 N. Wells Street in Kosciusko for dinner. Great food with a Louisiana flavor and live entertainment. Tables have been reserved for England Reunion

  • Two: Saturday June 11
  • br>
  • 7:30 AM Meet for breakfast at Freddie’s Restaurant. This place is near motels just off the Natchez Trace  (Buffet Style)
  • br>
  • AM Leave Freddie’s for Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Established 1838
  • br>
  • AM Convene at Pleasant Ridge for brief history, and then go to Pleasant Ridge Cemetery for England family grave sites.
  • br>
  • 10:00 AM Trip to Morgan Cemetery. Graves of first Englands and Boyetts in Attala County


  • 12:30 - 1:00. Return to Church and Kosciusko for lunch at Freddie’s, business meeting, and adjournment
