Graveside rites were held at the Kosciusko Cemetery Sunday afternoon at 4 for Mrs. Matt G. Campbell, respected West Point matron native of Attala, who died at the West Point hospital Friday night after a month's illness. Funeral services were held at Barry Funeral Chapel at 2 in West Point prior to the rites here. In charge of the services was Barry Funeral Home of West Point assisted by Jordan Funeral Home of Kosciusko.

Mrs. Campbell, who was 92, was the former Antoinette Stuckey, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Newland Stuckey. She was the widow of M.G. Campbell, educator and former editor of the Kosciusko Courier. Mr. Campbell preceded her in death many years ago. She had made her home in Kosciusko for about 60 years, and was a school teacher in Attala county schools for a number of years. She went to West Point to make her home about 20 years ago.

She was a member of the Methodist church and active in church and civic affairs as long as her health permitted.

She leaves two daughters: Mrs. R.J. Slay, South Carolina; Mrs. Joe Reedy, West Point; and son Dr. George Campbell, West Point; four grandsons.
