"FRENCH CAMP — Mrs. Katie Turner, 93, widow of Robert E. Turner, died yesterday at Belzoni Hospital. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at French Camp Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in French Camp Cemetery with Jordan Funeral Home of Kosciusko in charge. She leaves three sons, Jack Turner and Ira A. Turner, both of Anahuac, Texas, and Eric Turner of Jackson; four daughters, Mrs. W. A. Taylor of Louisville, Mrs. Herman Scarbrough of Belzoni, Mrs. Allen Tyler of Kosciusko and Mrs. W.T. Barbee of Charlotte, N.C. ; and two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Taylor of French Camp and Mrs. Ben Scott of Memphis."

"Turner Services Held FRIDAY at FRENCH CAMP
Mrs. Katie Toler Turner, 93, a native of Choctaw County, and long-time resident of French Camp, died Thursday, August 13 in a Belzoni hospital following a short illness.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 14 at 3p.m. at the French Camp Presbyterian Church with burial in the French Camp cemetery. She was a member of the Chapel Hill Methodist Church, and the widow of Robert E. (Bob) Turner.
The Rev. Warren Black and the Rev. Stuart Angle officiated. She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. W. A. Taylor Sr. of Louisville, Mrs. Herman Scarborough of Belzoni, Mrs. Allen Tyler of Kosciusko and Mrs. W. T. Barbee of Charlotte, N. C. ; three sons: Jack Turner and Ira A. Turner, both of Anahuac, Texas; Eric Turner of Jackson; two sisters: Mrs. Josie Taylor of French Camp and Mrs. Ben Scott of Memphis; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bill Taylor, Jerry Donald, Bill Grogan, Gilmer Ables, James Allen Tyler and Allen Tyler.
Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of Arrangements."
