The Green Cemetery is an abandoned cemetery and is located just off Hwy 440 between Hesterville and West. From Hwy 440, take County Road 4227, the cemetery is located approximately .4 of a mile from 440. The cemetery is in a grove of trees at the top of a hill, overlooking a pasture. The cemetery is located on property formerly owned by Wiley Green. It is currently owned by Tommy Gelston.

This abandoned cemetery contains about ten gravesites. Willey Green who died 18 May 1871 is among those buried here. Others buried in this cemetery include; E. C. Kimes, 1821 - 1883, Ann E. Kimes, 1826 - 1883. As noted in the caption of one of the photographs, Annebell and Janis, children of C.E.K, born and died Jun 21, 1869. Several small stones are marked J.P.K, T.E.G and W.G.-none of these have dates.

Several children of D.H. & A.H. Ellington, who died within one day of each other, are buried here as well; Frances Elizabeth Ellington, Nov 7, 1852 - July 27, 1858 and David Lafayette Ellington, Oct 29, 1845 - July 28, 1858.

Others buried in this graveyard include; John Hockaday Green 1836 - 1865, Sarah Elizabeth Green, 1854 - 1862, William Stephens, 1812 - 1840 and Samatha Howell Stephens Beall, 1814 - 1860.
