FRED CARNES FUNERAL SET FOR TODAY, July 29, 1971. Funeral services for Fred Carnes, 77, of Route 3, Kosciusko, will be held today (Thursday) at 3 p.m. at Yockanookany Baptist Church with burial in Isaac Cemetery.

Carnes, a native of Sallis and retired farmer died Wednesday at Montford Jones Memorial Hospital following an illness of several months. He was a member of Yockanookany Baptist Church.

Officiating minister will be the Rev. Billy Williams. Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are: his wife, Mrs. Nannie McMillian Carnes; six daughters; Mrs. Homer Wall of Memphis, Mrs. O. L. Grey of Forest, Mrs. Fred Spain of Jackson, Mrs. W. G. McMillian, Jr. of Kosciusko, Mrs. Eugene Packard of Columbus, and Mrs. Norman Harris of Fairhorn, Ohio; a son, William F. Carnes of Bridgewater, Mass.; a sister, Mrs. J. V. Norwood of Kosciusko; a brother, John C. Carnes of El Dorado, Kansas; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchidren.
