CHARLES LONNIE CARNES. SERVICES ARE SCHEDULED THIS MORNING. Kosciusko, Miss., Dec. 4. Services for Charles Lonnie Carnes, lifelong resident and retired farmer of Attala County, will be at Jordan Funeral Home at 10 Saturday morning. Burial will be in Sallis Cemetery.

Mr. Carnes, who was 85, died at Montford Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko Friday after an illness of two days. He was born in Sallis but lived the past 45 years in Providence community of Attala. He was a Baptist and active in church and community affairs for many years.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Vera Nowell Carnes of Providence community; a son, William Franklin Carnes of San Jose, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. A. E. Bennett of Kosciusko, Mrs. Dena Mae Holeman of Sallis; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Norwood of McVille; two brothers, John Carnes of Wichita, Kan., Fred Carnes of McVille, and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
