John W. Isaacs, born 1822 TN died June 1863 during the Civil War at Chattanooga, TN. John married on 28 March 1848 in Jefferson County, AL to Nancy Eliza Fields, born 1828 AL died 8 Sept 1891 MS. John was the son of Elijah and Milly Bagley Isaacs. Nancy was the daughter of Moses and Jane Sharp Fields.

Jerusha married John Charping and they moved to Robertson County Texas. John and Jerusha were still in Attala County for the 1880 census renumeration. However, in the 1900 census for Attala County Jerusha is shown back in Attala County as a widow with a daughter, Leona born 1884 in Texas.
