The Berea Baptist Church and Cemetery are located in the northeastern part of the county near the Attala - Choctaw County line, not far from French Camp. Proceed north on the Natchez Trace Parkway and just across from the Bethel Mission marker you should be able to see the Berea Church and Cemetery. The church is a white frame building and the cemetery is adjacent to it on the left when facing the church.

The Berea Baptist Church was established around 1858.

It is said that Andrew Jackson camped here on his way back to Tennessee with his troops following the Battle of New Orleans.

The images of the church and cemetery shown here were submitted by Jeannine K. Smith on June 10. 2003.
